Code of Interplanetary Conflict
- The Code of Interplanetary Conflict is a treaty in the IDW-portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
In the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, each faction shares one common goal: total destruction of the other. Only one side was genuinely interested in negotiation, and that time has long passed. But there are rules in war, and the Code of Interplanetary Conflict governs this one.

One of the major tenets of the Code of Interplanetary Conflict states that Cybertronian technology must not be shared with other races. Ultra Magnus, an enforcer of the Tyrest Accord, says that Scorponok was particularly bad with this particular tenet of the accored, willingly supplying front organizations run by other species with Cybertronian technology and allowing their own innovations to go from there. After Sixshot managed to shoot down the Ark-19, Optimus Prime set the ship to self-destruct after evacuating the crew and transferring data to the Ark-32, in compliance with the Code of Interplanetary Conflict. Bare in mind he's upholding a treaty with Megatron, even after he just sent Sixshot to kill him. When Optimus Prime makes a promise, he keeps it. Devastation
