Venom Homage?
I find the idea that the fear parasite is a Venom homage to be pretty dubious. Opinions? JW 17:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not wholly sold on it myself, but I recall some discussion on it on the Allspark a while back. But, y'know... black ooze that uses other creatures as a host, feeds on rage and takes the form of a spider... - Chris McFeely 17:27, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Isn't this story almost entirely recycled from an earlier UK story? Distant Thunder!, #100, also featured slimy alien hosts that feed on rage, and that story predates Venom by about two years. --ItsWalky 19:17, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'd like to point out that the symbiote didn't feed on rage in the comics. The connection to aggression didn't appear until the cartoon, which started in Nov. 1994. —Interrobang 19:38, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
