Their origins and fate are unknown, but judging by their architecture, the Lazalt aliens are scaled like humans, not Transformers.

At some point in the past, the Lazalt aliens probably built a temple in the Andes Mountains which included a stone capable of channeling energy from the Earth's core.[1]
The Lazalt aliens built a temple on Zel Samine, and left behind crystal artifacts of considerable power, including the Gem of Mystery and the Zel Quartz. These ruins are newly discovered in 2003, and both Soundwave and Megatron note that the temple encountered in the Andes Mountains appears related. Transformers
