The name 'Bonecrusher' is commonly applied to heavy-duty construction transport vehicles or buffalo, or something in-between.Amusingly, Hasbro once produced a concept sketch for a buffalo/construction-vehicle hybrid.

The name Bonecrusher has been applied to several Transformers characters.

• 1997 — Bonecrusher the Maximal bison from Beast Wars.

• 2002 — Bonecrusher the Land Military Team Mini-Con missile truck from Armada.

• 2003 — Bonecrusher the Decepticon Micromaster bulldozer from Micromaster Collection.

• 2004 — Bonecrusher the Decepticon Construction Team front-end loader from Energon.

• 2004 — Bonecrusher the Constructicon Micromaster bulldozer from Universe.

• 2006 — Bonecrusher the Decepticon not-Micromaster, not-necessarily-Constructicon bulldozer also from Universe.
