Sumdac Tower
- Sumdac Tower is a building in the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_Animated_%28franchise%29" title="Transformers Animated (franchise)">Animated</a> <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Continuity_family" title="Continuity family">continuity family</a>.
[[Image:|right|300px|thumb|It's big, It's bold, it's sassy.]] Sumdac Tower (or Powell Tower, depending on who's running the show), a skyscraper in downtown <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Detroit" title="Detroit">Detroit</a>, is the home of <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Isaac_Sumdac" title="Isaac Sumdac">Isaac Sumdac</a> and his daughter <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sari_Sumdac" title="Sari Sumdac">Sari</a>. It also appears to be the center of <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sumdac_Systems" title="Sumdac Systems">Sumdac Systems</a>, Professor Sumdac's corporation. The tower is massive, armed with impressive security features and staffed by both humans and robots. It also happens to be shaped like a giant <strike><a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sparkplug_%28disambiguation%29" title="Sparkplug (disambiguation)">Sparkplug</a></strike> spark plug.
Unfortunately, there <strike>is</strike> was <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Megatron_%28Animated%29" title="Megatron (Animated)">evil</a> in that tower... evil which does not sleep.

In addition to what is presumably the living quarters of the Sumdac
family, Sumdac Tower also includes Professor Sumdac's penthouse office
and his private laboratory, where he keeps the severed head of Megatron

Whenever the tower is under attack, it engages an automatic <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Force_field" title="Force field">force field</a> to protect those inside the building. Good idea if you're under siege from the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Decepticon" title="Decepticon">bad guys</a>. Bad idea if the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Prometheus_Black" class="mw-redirect" title="Prometheus Black">bad guy</a> is already in there. <span style="border-style: solid; border-color: rgb(204, 204, 204); border-width: 0pt 1px; padding: 0pt 5px; font-size: 10px; background-color: rgb(236, 236, 236);" class="tt1_nowrap"><a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Total_Meltdown" title="Total Meltdown">Total Meltdown</a></span>
Sumdac Tower suffered quite a bit of damage when the Decepticons mobilized to steal the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/AllSpark_%28Animated%29" title="AllSpark (Animated)">AllSpark</a> and rescue Megatron. <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Starscream_%28Animated%29" title="Starscream (Animated)">Starscream</a> blew a large hole in it, Megatron burst through the roof, and the Decepticons then fired missiles at it. Even after Megatron's rampage, the building was still under reconstruction. Powell</a> took over Sumdac Systems, he kicked Sari out of the penthouse and gave her room to <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Headmaster_%28Animated%29" title="Headmaster (Animated)">Henry Masterson</a>. He also informed <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_%28Animated%29" title="Optimus Prime (Animated)">Optimus Prime</a> that the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Autobot" title="Autobot">Autobots</a> were no longer welcome in the tower.
