Transformers: Alliance is a 4-part comic series published by IDW Publishing which originally ran from December 2008–March 2009 (scheduled). It, along with another four-issue story arc called Transformers: Defiance, will serve as both a sequel to The Reign Of Starscream and as a lead in to Revenge of the Fallen, and as such is in direct continuity with the film. The 2 arcs together are known as Transformers: Destiny.

Overview
Prior to the Mission City battle, Wreckage is experimented upon by Sector 7. After the Mission City battle, the Autobots help Captain Lennox eliminate rogue 'bots brought to life by the All Spark, and then leave before Sector 7 arrives. Sector 7 wants help from Lennox, who has agreed to help the Autobots. While Barricade sends out a signal for Decepticon help, Starscream plans his revenge.
When the time comes to dump the robot remains in the Laurentian Abyss, Optimus travels with Jazz's remains, leaving a fragment of the All Spark with Sector 7. The shard reactivates Wreckage, but Starscream and Bumblebee arrive in time to help. Starscream kills Wreckage, and, receiving a signal from Soundwave, goes to rendezvous with the latter.
