Marty Minkler is a television reporter who was covering a ceremony for the unveiling of a statue of Optimus Prime by Jazz and Cliffjumper (who he mistakenly introduced as "Cliffjump") when it was interrupted by an attack from Starscream and the Combaticons.

Trivia

He was named "Marty Hill" in the original script[1], which may have been some sort of in-joke by screenwriter Michael Charles Hill.
