King Kong is a (possibly) fictional monster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

King Kong destroys things in Japanese monster movies. He may be associated with Godzilla.

The reporter Irwin Spoon considered Superion's destructive behaviour in upper New York State similar to that depicted in a Japanese monster movie. When Prowl didn't get the reference, he went on to cite King Kong as an example. Inside Story!

Notes

• Since there may be a Godzilla in this universe, it's also possible there is a King Kong. There is precendent, after all.
• In real life, the main protagonist of Beast Wars is a direct homage to Kong.
