Energon grid (technology)

Energon Grids are planetary defenses in the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

The Energon Grid is a matrix of intersecting lasers that use Energon as a power source; it operates on the same principle as Energon weapons. The Energon grid is used as a shield for planets such as Earth, Cybertron, and all of Alpha Q's worlds.
