Tobias, a born dreamer, is an Animorph without the "morph" part: he turned into a hawk and got stuck that way. Brilliant. Before the yeerks came to Earth, he often fantasized of taking to the skies, and leaving all of his problems behind. But he confesses that the Yeerks are his worst nightmare, something he can't run away from. Facing an alien invasion, Tobias now views himself as a "one-bird air force," necessary to thwart the encroaching conquerers. Tobias's only known animal form is, naturally, a hawk.

- Part of the first wave of Animorphs toys, Tobias transforms from a human with bird feet hanging from his arms into a hawk, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. He has no accessories.

- Tobias's second retail toy transforms from a human with suspiciously scaly limbs into—you guessed it—a hawk, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. He still has no accessories.
