- Brobdingnag is not named in "Child's Play" and had to wait more than two decades to acquire a name through The AllSpark Almanac II. It is named after Brobdingnag, a land of giants in Gulliver's Travels, which itself comes from the word "Brobdingnagian", meaning "of huge size". Lessons courtesy of TFWiki.
