Scrul noticed a planet that registered on the ship's sensors that wasn't supposed to be there. He notified Khyogi of this development, even though it meant disrupting his leader's bloating session.

The "planet" turned out to be Bludgeon's Warworld. If Scrul didn't die in the initial assault on their ship, he sure didn't live through what came after. Old Evils
