Cerebro-strips are devices used by the Decepticon Starscream to control the minds of hapless humans. They are implanted in the victim with the help of his Insecticons.

The following events occur in a splinter timeline where Megatron won the battle of Mission City.

While [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron was still in power, Starscream quietly had his Insecticons implant several humans with Cerebrp-strips in anticipation for the day when he would seize control of the Decepticons. When Megatron was finally dispatched at the hands of the Autobots, Starscream put his plan into action. Aftermath: Part One Starscream used his mind-controlled pawns to turn the humans on the Autobots, knowing his enemies would hesitate in harming the fleshlings. A regiment commander was forced to have his troops attack a medical shelter. Aftermath: Part Two Although this ultimately failed in destroying the Autobots, Starscream had many more pawns lying in wait, including the President of the United States. Under Starscream's control, the President and his men were able to capture Mikaela and implant her with another Cerebro-Strip. Return to Cybertron: Part 2
