The outbreak of the Hate Plague forced Klementia into hiding in the far reaches of the galaxy. Despite his best efforts, infected swarms of his own Sharkticons were pursuing him when Sky Lynx found him. The Autobot offered him a choice; help restore Optimus Prime to life, or deal with the Sharkticons himself. Klementia took the deal, and returned with Sky Lynx to Earth. In the lonely Autobot City, he toiled for a long while, but eventually succeeded in resurrecting Optimus Prime! The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1
Optimus Prime thanked Klementia and expressed mild surprise that a Quintesson would help him. Klementia observed that the fate of the entire galaxy might be at stake, and agreed to restore other wounded Autobots to life. He repaired Kup, Blurr, Wheelie, Steeljaw, Blaster, and Bumblebee. The latter he needed to completely rebuild, and Optimus Prime called the new body "Goldbug."
After Optimus Prime retrieved the Matrix from Rodimus Prime, only Klementia was left to stand vigil as he entered the Matrix to seek answers. He managed to delay the rampaging mob, but could only cower and beg when Galvatron burst into the chamber and prepared to slay the comatose Optimus. At that moment, Optimus returned to consciousness and released the wisdom of the Matrix to annihilate the Hate Plague once and for all. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2

- Klementia was not named in the episode. It came from Ask Vector Prime many years later.
- He noted that organic names can vary by universe, but that Klementia was his name in Primax 509.28 Epsilon, the Wings of Honor universe.
- It seems to be a corruption of the word "clemency", meaning mercy.
- Klementia is the only known being in the entire galaxy to survive the entirety of the Hate Plague incident without becoming infected. Hardcore.
