The Dead End Drone is a Mini-Con from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Dead End Drones are copies of the Mini-Con Dead End, produced in the thousands by Unicron, and later Galvatron. They are "commanded" by Dead End General units.[1]

A plethora of Dead End Drones in globe form attacked the Decepticons invading Unicron's body. After killing everyone following Cyclonus, they cause him to almost fall into a crevasse. Demolishor saved Cyclonus, but the drones kept firing. They were eventually destroyed by Hot Shot and Side Swipe. After momentary peace, a larger group came and surrounded the invaders. Before they could fire, though, they were destroyed by Optimus Prime. Those not destroyed retreated. Alliance

Later, when Galvatron and Optimus Prime invaded Unicron's interior, another group of drones (now called Laser Pods) attacked. The combined firepower of Prime and Galvatron destroyed all of them. Union

  • Bug Drone (Micron Booster, 2005)
    • Booster ID number: 2
Bug Drone uses the same base plastic colors as the Mini-Con Dead End, transforming into a "moon" with a large blaster. The Drone is distinguished by silver paint on the moon's sides that Dead End lacks. Available only as part of the fourth Micron Booster assortment in Japan, Bug Drone came in a "blind-packed" box that prevented the buyer from knowing the contents of the box until it was opened.
This mold is also used by Bug General and Kranix.
