- Prowl is an Autobot Transcendent Technomorph from the TransTech continuity.
Prowl, as a member of the Intelligence Directorate, works hand-in-hand with Starscream. After an amazingly spotless career as a lowly Intelligence Director, Prowl was placed by Optimus Prime with Starscream in order to keep the opportunistic bureaucrat in check. Prowl thinks that's rotten thanks for supporting Optimus for so long and through so much.
Prowl believes in thought over violence, and so his body doesn't conceal much weaponry. Though he does have a few weak laser guns built into his systems, the vast majority of his frame is devoted to computing power. Because of this, Optimus Prime often relies on him for guidance and advice.

When the "lowtechs" Path Finder and Bug Bite were called by Optimus Prime into the TransTech Senate to hear their pleas, Prowl, a "white and black unit by Optimus' side", called the session to order. Withered Hope
After Shockwave and Megatron proposed to Ratbat that a lethal experimentation be performed on a recent "being of interest" that was a source of both potential great secrets and danger, Ratbat brought up the matter to Prowl, Optimus Prime, Starscream, and Cheetor. Some time later, Prowl and Megatron were in the control room of Axiom Nexus when Rhinox detected "multiple phenomenon across corresponding clusters," even in universal streams long thought destroyed. Prowl told Rhinox to ignore Megatron's subsequent insulting remarks, and quickly Rhinox traced the activity back to Primax 207.0 Epsilon in general and its universe's Overlord in specific. Invasion Prologue As the damage spread, Prowl checked with Rhinox, who reported that following the incursion into Primax 207.0 Epsilon, two ships had ended up in an era time locked as it was home to the Origin Matrix. Prowl attended a meeting of the Convoy held by Starscream. He was surprised to hear that General Optimus Prime had let the criminal and suspected "Megatron" C-81 go. The General responded that C-81 and his gang had slipped away after the Waruders had been transported off-planet but assured Prowl that he had been mistaken in believe C-81 was a "Megatron." Prowl was satisfied with the General's answer, as it confirmed his belief that there was no possible way for a "Megatron" to sneak his way into Axiom Nexus. Cybertron's Most Wanted
