In Primax 208.06 Zeta, Rodimus Primal and the Wreckers were a resistance group against Obsidian's Vehicon rule of Cybertron. After the defeat of the Vehicons, Rodimus Primal formed a new High Council along with Waspscream, Icebird, and Magmatron. Ask Vector Prime

Rodimus Primal is based on Optimal Rodimus Primal, a proposed BotCon 2001 concept of an updated version of Rodimus Prime as a redeco of Optimus Primal's Optimal Optimus form. This plan did not come to fruition, and instead Optimal Rodimus Primal's role in The Wreckers comic went to Rodimus and Primal Prime instead.
Rodimus Primal's faction is unspecified, but he is most likely an Autobot or Maximal.
According to Vector Prime, Rodimus Primal has four alternate modes: a large transmetal gorilla and two vehicle modes.
