Demus is a Decepticon Monoformer from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Demus is a Decepticon turned trader with a transformation phobia.

Fiction

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Back in the day, Demus had such an aversion to his alt mode that he had all his kibble surgically removed. Not surprisingly he went on to become a member of Triple-M, before serving in the Decepticon army under the command of Deathsaurus. After the war ended, he was given an honourable discharge and set himself up as a scrap metal merchant on Tebris VII, eventually becoming so successful through selling domestic appliances and toy pets that he was able to build a collection of 14 vintage moons. However this success would come at a price as Demus became increasingly aware that his activities would not be ignored by the authorities forever, putting his life at risk.

He made an offer to Krok through a Triple-M subgroup on The Big Conversation, a Decepticon social networking site, and so the Scavengers travelled to Tebris VII to hear him out. Once they had been fitted with inhibitor chips to prevent them from transforming, the noticeably jumpy Demus told them of his offer: they would receive half a billion Shanix each in exchange for their captive, the brain-damaged Grimlock. While the Scavengers discussed it amongst themselves, Demus excused himself to make a call, begging someone for their protection, but unfortunately he was caught and summarily executed by the Duly Appointed Officer of the Tyrest Accord, Fortress Maximus.
