In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, the Renegades, allied with Gog of Moebius, established a series of bases on Moebius to extract energy. With its unique geometry, however, Moebius turned into a crude Dimensional Interfacer as a result of the energy drain. The planet tapped into another planet to sustain itself, the Cybertron of Primax 085.0 Eta, where cyberquakes and Devastator storms ensued. Discovering that something in the other reality was threatening to destroy their homeworld, the Autobots of Cybertron sent a team of Spy Changers to Gargent 087.0 Kappa to investigate. Eventually, the Spy Changers learned that it was Renegade activity on Moebius which was threatening Cybertron, and Hoist ended the threat by triggering the remote self-destruct sequences which Doctor Braxis had built into the bases.
