Wings Universe is based on the Generation 1 cartoon, but deviates from it in cosmetic ways and continuity points.

The Wreckers and Squadron X had a confrontation at Frellus IV, where the Hasmata joined the battle to support the Autobots. While the Hasmata kept the Squadron busy, the Wreckers escaped on the Squadron's ship, the Decimator. Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur
