The name or term "Dash" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Dash (disambiguation).
Dash is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
The cartoon really played down his hammerpants.

Known as the Multiforce's "Warrior of the Sun", Dash (ダッシュ Dasshu) will tell you some 'bots are made for fighting, some for thinking, and some are just made for speed. Dash is definitely the latter. He is one of the fastest ground-based Autobots around, capable of great speed, though always willing to say he can go faster. Who needs a big brain or a big gun when you can move faster than Blurr can talk? If the meaning of life is to live fast and leave a pretty chassis, then Dash is ready to join the Allspark. As a member of Multiforce team, Dash is teamed with the rough and tough Tacker and makes the right arm of Landcross.

Micromaster

While testing out stealth technology, Dash and the rest of the Multiforce stumbled through a dimensional rift that brought them to years into the past. There, Micromasters battled over Mount St. Hillary, where Optimus Prime, Megatron, and their troops slumbered within the Ark. Before Wing could introduce him to the local Autobots, the Multiforce had to head out to meet a Decepticon threat. He combined with Tacker to form Dashtacker and helped taking on the Decepticon Sixbuilders. Dash then combined with the rest of the Multiforce into Landcross to send Berserker Sixwing packing. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

Ask Vector Prime

The Multiforce followed the normal flow of time to return to their native period, making sure to not interfere with events they knew had to transpire. To this end, they avoided the other Transformers and explored the Skomiloch Territories and clashed with the Predators. Their journey enabled them to be able to stop the Praetorian from using the corrupted Reconfiguration Matrix to rewrite all robotic life in the Vega Sector into loyal Scrapmetal. Ask Vector Prime

Victory manga

The Multiforce was summoned to Earth by Star Saber and battled Dinoking as Landcross. After defeating Dinoking, Landcross separated in order to swarm Deathsaurus with superior numbers. Magnificent! Our Friend, Star Saber!

After having lost a battle to Deathsaurus as Landcross, and being subsequently rescued by Star Saber, Dash helped rescue the animals hurt by the forest fire caused by the Decepticon Emperor. Great Turn-Around! Star Saber

Dash also fought against the Decepticons inside their space base as it was raining down meteors onto the Earth. The war ended peacefully with a truce between both factions. Heroic! The Victory War

Toys

Victory

  • Dashtacker (Multiforce, 1989)
    • ID number: C-317
    • Accessories: Multi-Dash Gun, Landcross right fist
Dash transforms into a red "super car" of unknown model, bearing a vague resemblance to a Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R with rally racing modifications. In car mode, he can mount Landcross's fist on his roof as an artillery turret. (The fist also provides a place for his Multi-Dash Gun to go in vehicle mode, giving him even more firepower.) He is capable of forming the top or bottom half of a two-Multiforce-member super robot; nominally, he's the top half to Dashtacker. For the Mulitforce's "individual" releases, Dash was only available with his partner, Tacker.

  • Landcross (Gift set, 1989)
    • ID number: C-319
    • Accessories: Multi-Dash Gun, Landcross right fist
Dash was also available as part of the complete Multiforce/Landcross gift set. The toys are identical to their individual releases, though the packaging lacked the bios and Tech Specs for the "individual" members.

Micromaster

  • Dash (DX Micromaster, 2004)
    • Multiforce number: 3
    • Accessories: Multi-Dash Gun, Landcross right fist
For The Transformers: Micromaster, the Multiforce members were only sold as true individuals, one per box. This release saw the original versions' stickers replaced with paint operations.

  • Dash Stealth Mode (DX Micromaster, 2004)
    • Multiforce number: 3
    • Accessories: Multi-Dash Gun, Landcross right fist
In every case of 12 DX Micromasters, two were black-plastic "Stealth Mode" versions. Since the toys were in boxes that only indicated which of the six molds were in any given box, buyers had no ability to tell which two were the chasers. All six Multiforce members were available in black.
