Some mechs think the high-voltage electric cannon is a dishonorable weapon, unworthy to be used by a true master of Metallikato. Bludgeon is not one of those mechs.[1]

Fiction

Marvel Comics continuity

Marvel The Transformers comics

"Hey, buddy, you can't just order us around like-Oh. It's you Bludgeon. Sorry, didn't recognize you without the pretender shell."

Bludgeon used his high-voltage electric cannon during the Decepticon attack on Klo. The Last Autobot?

Marvel Generation 2 comic

Don't kid yourself, Bludgeon. But at least it won't harmlessly ricochet off of Grimlock's armor.

While defending himself against Megatron, Bludgeon's Pretender shell was destroyed. He transformed his inner robot into tank mode and shot Megatron in the chest with his high-voltage electric cannon. Megatron admitted the shot was painful, but the blast did little to no damage. Megatron returned the favor by also transforming into tank mode and blew Bludgeon apart with his rail gun.
