As a punishment

You know what's awesome about Empurata? The use of it as a punishment doesn't mean people don't just stop taking you seriously. For a Cybertronian, it throws its victims into the Uncanny Valley. Your head and hands are removed, but not your ability to speak, move or transform. It doesn't mean its victims are shunned because The Man tells you to shun them. Negative reactions are inevitable when you're forced down into a place we use for zombies. After that, the general populace would want to believe anything bad about the person, simply to justify their feelings. For us, they're still just robots. For Cybertronians, they're no longer people.
