Sledge (Classics)

Sledge is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Classics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Sledge is a member of the Demolition Team, a trio who use their engineering skills and raw strength to destroy Autobot installations with ease.

• Demolition Team (Mini-Con Team, 2006)

Part of the first wave of Classics Mini-Cons, Sledge transforms into a backhoe/payloader. He was only available with his teammates Broadside and Wideload.

Trivia

• Sledge, like all of the Classics Mini-Cons, was originally intended to be released in a Cybertron-series Mini-Con two-pack. It is currently unknown what his original name and affiliation was going to be.

• The hand-painted sample pictured on the back of the Demolition Team's card has different paint applications than the actual final product. In Sledge's case, the sample has a painted-yellow driver's compartment, and more red paint on his broad shovel.

• The Sledge pictured on the cardback also differs from the final in a very peculiar way: his head is on backwards. As such, his upper body is reversed from the production version's. Since the toy's head is not a separate piece from the body, just how this happened is unknown.
