Iron Claw
From MediaWiki
| This article is about the Autobot/Mini-Con. For the human terrorist, see Iron Klaw. |
- Iron Claw is a Mini-Con from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family or an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family (via the 2010 Transformers toyline).

Iron Claw lives up to the "muscle" in "muscle car". He's packing power under his hood in both modes, either burning up the road or pounding Decepticons into the dirt. However, when it comes to anything outside of "drive fast and fight hard", he's not too well-equipped.[1] Sometimes he is a Micromaster; other times he is a Mini-Con.
Fiction
Ask Vector Prime
Vector Prime first noticed Iron Claw in Aurex 503.01 Gamma, but noted that a Micromaster version of him existed in Primax 209.0 Gamma, and at least some of his compatriots existed as full-sized Autobots and Decepticons in Primax 1005.19 Gamma. Ask Vector Prime, 24/7/2015

Transformers (2010)
- Minicon 8 Pack (Multipack, 2010)
- Iron Claw is a redeco of Classics Oil Slick, transforming into a genericized muscle car that is a cross between a late 1960s Chevrolet Camaro, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, a 1970 Dodge Charger and a 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. His robot-mode "hands" (actually a knife and a pincer-like claw) can be left deployed out of his grill in car mode.
- He's pretty unstable when standing straight, as his feet are placed too far off to the front with his heels additionally being too short to support his back, with the result being that he often falls on said back. One could pose him to bend over to make him stable, but then he would end up staring at the ground.
- He was originally only available as part of the European-market exclusive "Minicon 8 Pack" box set with Buckshot, Ironside, Barrel Roll, Diveplane, Airlift, Heavy-Liftor, and Reachout.
- This mold was also used to make Universe Makeshift, but unlike him, Iron Claw's crotch is assembled correctly.
- Iron Claw (Mini-Con, 2012)
- Iron Claw was later made available on an individual card through discount outlets in the U.S. As far as can be told, there are no actual differences between the single-pack and multi-pack versions of the toy.
Notes
- The Minicon[sic] 8 Pack gives no indication whatsoever what continuity these eight Mini-Cons hail from. In 2015, the Facebook edition of Ask Vector Prime simultaneously established the pack members as Unicron Trilogy Mini-Cons and Generation 1 sometimes-Micromasters.
- The stock photography for Iron Claw shows him with upper legs that are fully mint-green on all sides. The final product, however, only has the mint-green paint on the front face, leaving unpainted black plastic on all others.
