The Decepti-bomb was an Autobot weapon capable of destroying an entire city. More nefariously, its components could only be traced to Decepticons.

Prowl commissioned the neutral scientist Mesothulas to build the Decepti-bomb, which was then used to destroy the neutral city of Carpessa, killing 1,438 neutrals. Thanks to the Decepticon-traceable components used in the bomb's construction, this was declared a Decepticon war crime, and every single survivor of the attack enlisted in the Autobot army.
