Welcome to wiki! Do you have a source for the claims you made On the page for The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1? Information about unanimated scenes and the like is stuff that should have a source that backs it up. -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 12:29, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- I do. I have copies of the original scripts for both parts of the episode. Production coordinator and writer Paul Davids gave them to me when I met him and Flint Dille (who said he is likely to have story-edited the scripts) many years ago. I can scan the pertinent portions in support of my addition.
- Thanks, Foffy! And not at all -- you're only being a proper editor by asking me to verify. I'm sure there is plenty of less than perfectly substantial stuff added here. I have the script copies on hand, but it'll be Monday before I can get to a scanner. If that's too long and you prefer discarding my additions for the time being, I don't mind re-entering them later. And thanks for the tip on signing -- I think my Wiki newness is already showing! Trecathlus (talk) 14:03, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- I don't think we need to revert your edits. It's wonderful that you have those scripts and are able to share, a huge contribution and I think we're all excited when someone can share knowledge like that. I'm still learning how to be a good editor but I want to say welcome aboard. --Giggidy (talk) 14:08, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- Thank you very much, Giggidy! I'm quite the cartoonophile and it'll be fun seeing what I can add to the G1 episodes. Trecathlus (talk) 14:18, 21 January 2016 (EST)

- Please do! If you have the time or inclination, scans of the full scripts would be a thing of beauty the internet would forever grateful for... - Chris McFeely (talk) 13:55, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- Hi, Chris! Sure, I can do the full scripts. I seem to recall on ATT that you'd gotten hold of all the original scripts and regaled us with stuff from them that we never knew. I have forever been meaning to ask you if I might have copies (a huge job! which is why I never did ask), but maybe those were mainly dialogue scripts? :-) Not sure if you know me by Trecathlus, by the way, but Rik Bakke hopefully still rings a bell. :-) Trecathlus (talk) 14:06, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- OH! Rik!! I didn't know it was you! Yeah, those were all dialogue scripts, with the exception of "Fight or Flee" - they were ROM content on the UK DVDs of the series. Shoot me an e-mail, chris.mcfeely82@gmail.com, we'll sort something out. - Chris McFeely (talk)
- Ah, then I actually have those already, because I bought the U.K. set a number of years back. It was a great thing to see -- a wonderful bonus! While I'm at it, I've also got a copy of the script for "Transport to Oblivion" lying around. Is that of interest, too? Trecathlus (talk) 14:23, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- I've got that one! Following the Ron Friedman auctions from a couple of years ago, I've got copies of full scripts for about one-third of the series. Always on the look out for more, though! - Chris McFeely (talk) 14:27, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- A whole third? Be still, my pulsating processor! Now THOSE I'll have to e-mail you about -- if the offer (which I very much appreciate!) is good for those as well. :-D Trecathlus (talk) 14:34, 21 January 2016 (EST)
- Oh, sure! We'll have to compare and see if you have anything I don't. - Chris McFeely (talk) 17:30, 21 January 2016 (EST)

Hey, odd little question... are there any dates on the script? If so, you could help me out on a little project I'm working on by letting me know what they are. --Jimsorenson (talk) 08:33, 3 February 2016 (EST)
- Hello, Jim! Sorry for taking a while to respond. Life is life. :-) There are indeed dates on the scripts. The first part is dated November 10, 1986. I have two versions of the second part. Both are denoted in handwriting as "Final" and both are dated November 24, 1986 in the same manner. However, the second version contains a number of small hand-written revisions (dialogue punch-up, action and scene changes, error corrections), sometimes with a December 2, 1986 date scribbled next to the revision. By the way, great work on THE ARK. :-) Trecathlus (talk) 16:50, 22 February 2016 (EST)
