The Seeker clones are human-built robots from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Reverse engineered from the bodies of Ramjet and Thrust, the remotely-operated Seeker clones make up the bulk of the Earth Defense Command's mechanized forces. Although they're officially owned by the EDC, their less-than-scrupulous creator G.B. Blackrock has occasionally deployed them without the permission of the organization to advance his own goals.

Thanks to Blackrock's experiments with the Enigma of Combination, some of them are capable of combining with one another, making them more than a match for any Cybertronian.

With their remote control negated, all the clones deactivated and dropped into the ocean. The Onyx Interface Conclusion: The Obliterati

The Thrust/Ramjet clone combiners were later deployed against a team of Autobots attempting to locate Blackrock's Onyx source-code, easily besting them. Sky Lynx attempted to retreat for reinforcements, only to discover that Blackrock had modified their combined forms to allow them to assume alt-modes too, which chased the dinobird-Autobot into the Ark-7's shields. Notes

  • China also has an anti-Transformer mech army in the form of the People's Liberation Army Mecha Force. Although they also use Cybertronian technology, these suits are physically piloted by a human and bear little resemblance to the Seeker clones.
