a personal canon is a fan's own interpretation of fiction details, which could difer with other fans' ideas

Examples

• Some fans consider Cyclonus and Scourge as reincarnations of the Seekers Skywarp and Thundercracker, while others consider that just the Seekers' corpses were recycled to create Cyclonus and Scourge's bodies as all-new transformers.

• The fandom also disagree about what happened with the Decepticons after "The Rebirth". Some fans believe that the 'cons never returned to Cybertron, others believe the 'cons returned led by Galvatron, and some others (like the guy who wrote this) believe that the 'cons returned led by Zarak/Scorponok, who, at some point, could have gotten rid of Galvatron.
