Scorponok co-commands a motley crew of Decepticon refugees on Earth. Paired with Glowstrike, this gruff but pragmatic bot has little patience for incompetence.

On Cybertron, Scorponok used his intimidating stance to prey upon outline communities that were devoid of any law enforcement, often tearing them down for enjoyment. Misdirection
Scorponok teamed up with Glowstrike on Earth, gathered a crew of other former prisoners, and established a base in a starship which had crashed in a swamp. From there they sent members of the group out to scavenge materials needed to build a new starship and get them off the planet. The pair were unimpressed with Saberhorn and Kickback's work, but were shortly afterwards introduced to Steeljaw, who had followed Kickback home. Metal Meltdown Promised a group of elite warriors by Steeljaw, Scorponok and with his Mini-Cons Bludgeon and Clout arrived at the designated meeting place along with Crazybolt and Slicedice, only to be attacked by Bumblebee and Grimlock. Despite initially defeating Grimlock, Scorponok was taken in by Bumblebee's slight of hand, and he and his Mini-Cons were captured and sealed in stasis pods. Misdirection
