9k is a Maximal in the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

9k is the commander of the highly-trained Maximal Command Security Force. His job is to uphold the will of the Maximal Imperium on Cybertron in the name of the Pax Cybertronia.

Trivia

• 9k -like all of the MCSF- uses the Cybertron-series Clocker toy as a base, though no official Switchblade toy exists (and probably never will). His color scheme (and name) is based on the Beast Wars Maximal K-9, though they appear to be two separate characters. Litter-mates, perhaps?
