IDW Generation 1 continuity

While incarcerated at Grindcore, Skids worked a few jobs for Tarn, the prison warden. One of which was the repair of the "teleport generator" for a supposed "teleport chamber". This device was presented as a means to send slaves out of Grindcore and to work camps. For some inmates, the device represented a way out, and as such, a source of hope.

If the device had worked as advertised, it would have sent its payload on Ambervalia, location of Cyber-Outpost 117. Speak, Memory! (Part 2)

Trivia

Ambervalia takes its name from the Roman agricultural festival Ambarvalia. Said festival involved sacrificing a group of animals after first leading them in a procession... not unlike the way in which the prisoners of Grindcore were led into the "teleport" chamber, then slaughtered.
