This article is about the Beast Wars II combiner. For the Classics combiner, see God Neptune (BWSG).
God Neptune is a Predacon combiner from the Beast Wars II portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Nawt kewl, braw. Totally nawt kewl!

For space pirates like the Seacons, pillaging and plundering often encounters considerable resistance from those who would rather keep their stuff. When the opposition is too much for the Seacons to handle individually, they combine into God Neptune (ゴッドネプチューン Goddo Nepuchūn): A towering powerhouse and their ultimate ace-in-the-hole.

Halfshell, leader of the Seacons, forms the dominant personality in this fusion, with each Seacon more or less maintaining autonomy over the limbs they form. While this allows God Neptune to boast a level of intelligence not seen in most combiners, it comes at a price. The flighty fembot Scylla will often abandon her position in the combination to pursue her own interests (almost always Scuba), leaving God Neptune to hop around on one leg and at the mercy of his enemies.

The Seacons arrived from space to plunder the planet Gaea of its Angolmois energy. When Lio Convoy's Maximals opposed Halfshell and his crew, they assembled as God Neptune to punish the opposition. Lio Convoy survived by diverting this massive opponent, having Scuba and Diver steal the pirates' ship. God Neptune abandoned his battle with the other Maximals to chase after his vessel. When he caught it, however, Scuba and Diver detonated the Angolmois capsules on board, damaging the ship and blowing God Neptune back into his component parts. The Space Pirate Seacons!

God Neptune and the Seacons were new arrivals on Gaea when Artemis and Moon compared the relative strengths of the Maximals and Predacons, and so they weren't included in the rankings. Who Is the Strongest Warrior!?

But he can swim, right?

Buzzed by Predacons and confronted by Maximals, the Seacons tried on three separate occasions to form God Neptune and swat away these pests, but Scylla kept disappearing. Her sudden infatuation with the Maximals Scuba caused her to shirk her duties and had a tendency to leave God Neptune short-handed...or, rather, shortfooted and without a giant peg-leg in sight. I'm not fat, I'm big boned.
  • God Neptune (Multi-pack, 1998)
    • Japanese ID number: D-21
Sold only as a boxed set of five toys, God Neptune is a redeco of most of the Generation 1 Seacon team; not only does the set not include a redeco of Nautilator, but the weapons and gun-mode stands for the individuals are also not included. Since the set uses the Scramble City-style of construction, the body and limbs are interchangeable with similar-build combiner teams.
For unknown reasons, a great number of unboxed God Neptune sets—lacking all of their accessories, including combiner parts—ended up available on the secondary market. These went for considerably less than the "complete" releases, naturally.
This toy was later repurposed as Classics God Neptune in the comic arc Beast Wars Shattered Glass.
