Folks:

Okay, I did some experimentation with Night Attack Fetch, and discovered that the spring-tension explanation is correct, but not the whole story. Pushing the missile as slowly as possible over the detent makes it shoot pretty far, but pushing quickly shoots it further, as does flicking it with a fingernail. His buddy Broadside is a better example. I can hardly make his missile go anywhere with steady pressure, but with a quick strike it sails considerably further. I tried to add a bit about this without Perceptoring everybody to death...BTW, we need some flimsy excuse to put the "Our missiles!" bit on this article, I thinks...--Autobus Prime 16:28, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
