- Saitama Prime was conceived as part of the "Cybertron Satellite" promotion wherein select towns and neighborhoods had their own "mascots".
- Saitama Prime is modeled after the Revenge of the Fallen Legends-class Bumblebee toy. He is decorated with rainbows because Saitama Prefecture markets itself as the "Land of Color".
