Mendez accosted Vroom, Spike, Metalhawk, Crossblades, and Elizabeth as they were exiting an Italian restaurant, unaware that the bulk of the group were Cybertronians in disguise. When they failed to hand over their money, Mendez shot Spike in the chest. Assembly
