Jōji Yanami (八奈見 乗児 Yanami Jōji born August 30, 1931) is a veteran Japanese voice actor who was born as Shigemitsu Shirato (白土 繁満 Shirato Shigemitsu), and is represented by the talent agency Aoni Production. A few of his many roles include King Kai, Dr. Briefs and various characters in the Dragon Ball franchise in addition to being the narrator of the series, Professor Yumi in Mazinger Z, Totosai in Inuyasha, Mayor Boodle in One Piece and Pochi in Devilman.

In the realm of dubbing work, he has dubbed over the voices of Filmore in Cars, Frank in The Incredibles, Grimsby the Valet in The Little Mermaid, Master Splinter in VHS dub of the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and the Doorknob in the TBS dub of Alice in Wonderland.
