Thundercracker actually didn't mind the Autobot's but was forced to join afterall since the Boss is dead, the only other decepticon who could possibly be in charge is in hiding. Some never really fit and joined the Autobots before Galvatrons fall. Hell one guy even turned turncoat a second time. It is possible they would be able to get a large amount of drones but never actually shown. Infact all that is seen is them crashing into Mars.
