Groundbreak was a brutish Mini-Con who became an intern at the Axiom Nexus News headquarters. There, he annoyed Andromeda with his bragging of his brawn during her broadcasts. Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News, 1/6/2015 Andromeda traded off both of her interns to Rook. Upon learning that the visitors Octus and Megadeath were of Quadwal origins rather than Malgus natives as he originally thought, Rook sent Groundbreak to double check the facts. United EX
- Available only in the Versus pack with his larger partner (as well as the Autobots Airmaster and Deduce), Groundbreak is a redeco of the Power Core Combiners Mini-Con Throttler. As the set's instructions appear to be pretty much exactly the U.S. instructions with the text replaced by Japanese, Groundbreak features only three official modes, instead of the standard four: robot, armor for any Commander robot, and a Powerlinx-plug-mounted drill, which serves as the weapon mode for both his partner's robot and vehicle modes.
- The Powerlinx plug on his back makes him compatible with any toy with a Powerlinx socket, enabling you to double-stack Mini-Cons or mount any weapon that has a 5mm post-hole.
- This mold was also used to make Prime Aimless.
Notes
- Groundbreak is named in homage to Mini-Con collector Greg Black.
