GIVE ME A CUDDLE!

On the moon known as Titan, the natives worship the Sky Gods! The Sky Gods demand your offering! No, take that paltry collection of fruit away; the Sky Gods' wrath is swift, and enforced by their astrologer priests under the command of Jero. It is said there are unbelievers among the Titans, but the Sky Gods will deal with them.

Fiction

The Transformers cartoon

Jero and his priests had a stone rigged up with ropes and pulleys to simulate a Sky God, and used it to keep the other Titans oppressed, forcing them to give offerings to appease the gods. Talaria and her band of heretics broke into the temple and smashed the statue. When Astrotrain and his band of Decepticons arrived on Titan in search of Cosmos, the Titans believed they were Sky Gods and shifted their worship. On the back of the Decepticons' sudden but inevitable betrayal, the Titans offered to worship the Autobots who were ready to save them, but Jazz politely pointed out that the Autobots weren't gods. The God Gambit
