Brasnya is a republic of the Soviet Union attempting to break off and become an independent country. Russia does not approve of these plans. Megatron aims to use this conflict to initiate a new, global war that will leave humans in a weakened position when the Decepticons choose to take action. To accomplish this, he... turns into a gun and lets himself be fired a few times. Great plan. The nation is probably based on Chechnya, a federal subject of Russia which has a violent history of separatism.
