Backstop was one of the many fatalities of Squadron X in their and the Wreckers' many skirmishes. Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur, 2014/04/21

The Backstop from the 2010 Transformers toyline was established in 2015 by "Head Games" to be a Generation 1 continuity family character. Whether Wings Backstop is an iteration of that Backstop, however, is unknown.
