The name Emissary has been applied to multiple Transformers characters and concepts, mostly heads.

• 1998 — "Martian emissary," the Gaean device from the Beast Wars II cartoon.
• 1998 — "Emissary of the Fourth Planet," the Beast Wars II episode that introduced the Martian emissary.
• 2002 — Emissary, the guy from Robots in Disguise who turns into Fortress Maximus's head and has his own head turn into a guy named Cerebros.
• 2002 — Emissary mode, the alternate mode used by Robots in Disguise Megatron in his "Megatron Megabolt" form to become Fortress Maximus's head.
• 2016 — Emissary, the guy from Beast Wars: Uprising who turns into a different Fortress Maximus's head.
• 2016 — Emissary, the guy from Titans Return who looks like the aforementioned Cerebros and turns into a head for a different Cerebros who then turns into a head for the second-mentioned Fortress Maximus.

Emissary should not be confused with:

• Cerebros, the guy for whom Emissary turns into a head.
• Cerebros, the guy who turns into Emissary's head.
• Spike Witwicky, the guy who sometimes turns into a head for the same Cerebros that Emissary turns into a head for, and who may in fact actually be the same guy as that Emissary.
• Galen Kord, the other guy who also turned into a head for the Cerebros that Emissary and Spike turn into heads for, at least until he died, and conceivably also might actually be the same guy as Emissary, although he's definitely not the same guy as Spike.
