Anti-electron

Anti-electrons are a rare (seemingly liquid) substance with various unusual properties, such as causing Transformers to malfunction.
Fiction
The Transformers cartoon
After getting hold of some anti-electrons, Galvatron hired a Skuxxoid and Slizardo to pour them into the Autobots' new power generator on Cybertron. This somehow caused the Autobots on the planet to be plagued with various malfunctions until Grimlock broke the generator. The Dinobot gained super-intelligence thanks to this, which may have been due to the anti-electrons.
In order to obtain more anti-electrons, Galvatron traveled to Unicron's deactivated head, which was rumoured to hold the substance. He did indeed find some in the giant's cerebro chamber, but was chased off by the Autobots a while later. Grimlock's New Brain
Kiss Players
Following the destruction of Tokyo, humanity decided that they didn't want anything to do with the Transformers anymore, and so Earth Defense Command set up an anti-electron field around Earth to keep them away.
Notes
- In real life, antielectrons are another name for positrons. However, there's little evidence that this is the case in Transformers fiction to be found in Grimlock's New Brain, especially when compared to how positrons are portrayed in later Transformers fiction.
