Walking Mortar Tower

Walking Mortar Towers are enemies from the Angry Birds Transformers continuity.

As if the Eggbots transforming the local Minion pigs into robotic minions wasn't bad enough, they also created Walking Mortar Towers, stony pig-faced robots that shoot lava balls at the Transformers. While the minion pigs can be easily dealt with, these behemoths are a really tough threat!

Commercial appearances

A Walking Mortar Tower proved too tough of an opponent for Optimus Prime Bird to handle on his own, and he called upon Megatron Pig to help him out. The two of them together brought down their foe. Angry Birds Transformers Comic-Con trailer

Players encounter Walking Mortar Towers as indestructible blocks until they transform and start shooting deadly balls of lava that take out a large fraction of a heart. They're not the sharpest shooters though, so their projectiles can fall behind, over, on, or in front of their target. Be sure to dodge the lava balls by transforming, but be careful not to drive into one!

Depending on the Transformer, some bots can barely make a scratch on them without a powerful Energonicon, while others like Heatwave Bird and Grimlock Bird have enough firepower to destroy them with ease. If they are destroyed, they will explode, taking anything destructible with it. But if they're not destroyed and walked far enough, they will transform back into a dormant rock and cannot be damaged any further.

There are actually two variants; the ones with smaller arm cannons have less health, so they can be dealt with more easily. Also, using a Ghostbot Energonicon or switching characters during Challenge events will confuse them for a few seconds, leaving them scratching their heads.
