Rhinox is a shifty fellow. Despite being his crew's resident doc-bot, he doesn't seem to be very well versed in medical procedures. Thankfully, he's rather adept when it comes to time-travel technology...

Fiction

In order to keep his limited knowledge of medicine a secret from his crewmates, Rhinox would enlist the aid of fellow doc-bot, Ratchet, by summoning him from the latter's own time period. On one such meeting, Ratchet wondered aloud how it was his frequent trips into the past hadn't muddled up the timeline completely. Rhinox assured him that he had taken steps to assure that wouldn't happen. Rhinox then accepted Ratchet's latest miracle cure, this one counteracting the effects of stasis lock, before seeing the Autobot off to his own time. Using Ratchet's remedy, Rhinox saved both Cheetor and Rattrap from some dire fate, and lapped up praise from the pair for his "medical expertise." SD SG #6

In the negative universe counterpart to our own, this is the height of toy-engineering technology.

• Beast Wars (Fast food premium, 2001)

Rhinox was repurposed from the original Rhinox.

Available only as part of a Hasbro-brand-names fast food promotion (which included miniature versions of other Hasbro properties like Mr. Potato Head), and labeled simply as "Beast Wars", this toy is an extremely simplified version of the Transmetal Rhinox toy, available only at participating Rally's and Checkers restaurants.

Despite it being... well, look at it... it goes for mad money on the secondary market. Most people didn't realize the promotion even existed until after it was over, and the restaurant chain was fairly small and somewhat regional.

Notes

• Rhinox communicates exclusively in messy little scribbles. Everybody seems to understand him fine, besides the reader that is.
• Though his appearance is based off of the Rally's Rhinox fast-food exclusive toy, negative-universe Rhinox has all the details of his positive-universe counterpart's Transmetal toy.
