Isamu Tanonaka

Isamu Tanonaka (田の中 勇 Tanonaka Isamu, July 19 1932 – January 13 2010) was a Japanese voice actor. He is probably best known for routinely playing Medama-oyaji in every single incarnation of GeGeGe no Kitarō, a long-running Japanese franchise which has spawned five TV anime series and numerous movies since 1968. He also played Gara in Dr. Slump, Bibidi in Dragon Ball Z and was the Japanese dub voice for Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars.
In January 2010, at the age of 77, Tanonaka passed away following a heart attack.
