Hey. Are you guys prepared? Because, I don't think that you were sufficiently warned. 'Cause, uh, today there is a, uh, high chance, probably about a 50 to 80% chance, OF CHAINSAAAAAAAAW! YA-HAHA!
Offroad is a new recruit to the Stunticons, and his teammates are being slow to trust him. He's confident and charismatic, unnervingly at ease in his new role, and worse, he's started using the colors of his predecessor. What's up with that, man? Conveniently, his experience operating in extreme conditions gives him the opportunity to gain his new comrades' trust, by taking on all the treacherous missions that they steer well clear of.
Normally, this distrust between Offroad and his teammates could be considered a hindrance to the combination process, but where Menasor is concerned, that's probably just a drop in the ocean...
In one universe, Offroad is a member of the Wreckers, with whom he combines to form Wreckage.
After a particularly humiliating defeat resulted in Wildrider leaving the Stunticons, Offroad was brought in to replace him. As the Stunticons were explaining to him how they operated, they were approached by Swindle, who piqued their interest by showing them that he had with him the Enigma of Combination.
After using the Enigma to upgrade Menasor, the Stunticons combined, and accompanied Swindle to the colony world of Caminus, preparing to bring destruction down upon its people. First Contact
Things quickly went downhill for the Stunticons and Menasor was summarily trounced by the similarly rebuilt Superion. The Stunticons were disassembled, sent back to Cybertron, and imprisoned. The Sum and Its Parts Swindle sprang the Stunticons as part of a diversion; they formed Menasor and incited a Decepticon riot at Metroplex's space bridge. You, Me, and the Universe The Stunticons fared poorly in their second fight against the Autobot combiners, and after Menasor fell the Stunticons were put away for good. All That Remains
Of Masters and Mayhem
Offroad was one of the many refugees who escaped the devastation of Cybertron at the hands of the monstrous Thunder Mayhem, but not before witnessing Menasor and the other Stunticons fall to the might of Thunder Mayhem.
Offroad's escape pod crash-landed on the planet Abraxas, where it was discovered by Alpha Bravo, another displaced Transformer who had already taken up residence on the planet. Deciding to put aside their old rivalries as former Autobots and Decepticons, Alpha Bravo helped Offroad find a local disguise based on some of the local vehicles. Offroad soon integrated himself with a group of local rescue workers alongside his Autobot compatriot.
The two Cybertronians helped out when they could, developing a deep friendship as they did so. Their friendship was paralleled by that of Lieutenant Feenliess and Captain Jorrval, the rescue workers who regularly operated them. A string of mysterious fires led the Abraxan security forces to realize that a gang of local arsonists had provoked the blazes. Offroad broke cover to try and rescue four of their hostages, but neither he nor Alpha Bravo were able to extricate the hostages before the building went down, killing all the Abraxans. In the aftermath of this disastrous operation, Offroad tried to comfort the depressed Alpha Bravo.
The two Transformers were later discovered by Impactor, who recruited them into his new makeshift team of Wreckers, a team en route to Cybertron to confront Thunder Mayhem. Fractyl filled them in on Impactor's plan: to create a new combiner of their own to counter Thunder Mayhem. Both Offroad and Alpha Bravo had already been prepped with combiner technology. After Fractyl augmented Toxitron with a sample of Greenergon, the Wreckers headed out to test their strength against a nest of Mecannibals. Their combined form, Wreckage, easily trounced the metal-eaters, but then quickly spiraled out of control.
After separating and regaining consciousness in the medbay, Alpha Bravo came to the conclusion that he had to stop Wreckage from re-forming by any means necessary. The other members of the team were far too difficult to kill, so with a heavy Spark, Alpha Bravo felt he had no choice but to murder Offroad. Unable to live with himself, Alpha Bravo subsequently allowed himself to be slain by Toxitron. Deadly Aim

Transformers Legends
Offroad and the rest of the Stunticons were created in response to the failure of a Decepticon campaign to acquire Autobot superfuel. Realizing they needed a strong ground force, Offroad and his kin were created by modifying Earth vehicles with Cybertronian technology, and then bringing them before Vector Sigma to be imbued with the spark of life. The Autobots brought the Aerialbots to life at the same time, and the Decepticons found themselves on the losing side until the Stunticons merged into Menasor. The Decepticons lost nonetheless, though they acquired the key to Vector Sigma as a consolation prize. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1 Later, Offroad participated in a fight on Earth as the Decepticons attempted to use the power of the key to transform Earth into a new Cybertron. Even though he and his fellow Stunticons merged into Menasor, the battle was still lost to the Autobots, and the Decepticons fled. Key to Vector Sigma, Part 2

That's it, I'm here to stay!
Offroad participated in battles against a variety of opponents, both Autobots and Decepticons. Sometimes there were many of him! He was an Uncommon character available as a reward in the "Menasor's Might" event. Transformers: Battle Tactics

Part of the second wave of GenerationsCombiner Wars Deluxe class toys, Offroad is a new-sculpt figure which transforms from a 4x4 double-cab pickup truck to robot and back! As a Combiner Wars Deluxe figure he can form either an arm or leg on any Voyager Class toys from the same subline or any Unite Warriors figure but is, of course, intended to be combined with Motormaster, Breakdown, Dragstrip, Dead End, and Blackjack to create Menasor. Offroad is also associated with Wreckage. He includes a 5mm handle axe weapon, and a larger accessory that can form a hand or foot in limb mode, a gun for robot mode, and can be mounted on a tab in the vehicle mode's truck bed to form a giant engine block.
Holey truck bed, Batman! An earlier prototype of Offroad depicted in official Hasbro stock photos featured a 5mm peg hole on the truck bed. This was replaced with the aforementioned tab the final toy has.
In the U.S., Hasbro's Asian markets, and Australia, Offroad is packed in with a variant cover edition of IDW's Robots in Disguise #14, labelled in its indicia as Combiner Wars #6. In other regions (mainly Canada and Latin America, since Offroad's wave was never officially distributed in Europe), he instead includes a collector card featuring his packaging art.
Offroad's toy began life as an update of the TriggerconRuckus,[1] and as such features a head and sculpted detail drawing inspiration from the character. Early design sketches for the toy's alternate mode also suggest that buggy-type vehicles, closer to Ruckus's Baja buggy mode, were initially considered. The decision to make the toy into a new character instead was reportedly due to a combination of name unavailability and Hasbro concluding that Ruckus didn't make that much sense as a Stunticon anyway.
Despite his initial release, Offroad has been replaced by Wildrider/Brake-Neck in every gift-set release of Menasor from the Combiner Wars line, and will (likely) not receive a Generation 2-style redeco.
Offroad did receive a Generation 2 style deco in a roundabout way, thanks to the official Transformers Facebook account, which, uh, "borrowed" somebody's digital mockup of what a Generation 2 Menasor Combiner Wars team would look like. Is this a whoops or a hooray or what?
