Spectralism is one of many religions in the IDW Generation 1 continuity, placing great importance on colors. As Drift is one of very few practitioners we've seen, and the most prominent, information is scarce.

Drift's meeting with Thunderclash and thus someone who respects him is considered a "magenta moment" and blue and purple can be considered a promise to kill.

Rodimus converted to Spectralism after Skids' death and took on a blue and purple paintjob as a promise to kill him. As this is Rodimus, it's not certain how serious he is about it. Dissolution Part 1: Some Other Cybertron
