Spectralism
- Spectralism is a religious movement from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Spectralism is a Cybertronian religious movement, placing great importance on colors, and their meaning. For example, blue and purple are considered both a sign of grief and a statement of intent. They also have a greeting identified as the "Call of the Wavelength". Spectralist funerial customs involve making a coffin from material found at the scene of the deceased's death.

IDW Generation 1 Continuity
After a near-death experience, Drift became a practicing spectralist. When Thunderclash visited the Lost Light, he recognized Drift as a spectralist and gave him the Call of the Wavelength, before agreeing with him that the emotional discomfort in the room was making the moment "magenta". Before he was forced off the ship, Drift also had tried to convert Rodimus, to no apparent luck. Predestination: A Beginner's Guide
On the duplicate Lost Light created by the ship's malfunction on take-off, Rodimus was buried spectralist-style on Drift's insistence after his demise fighting a sparkeater. Predestination: A Beginner's Guide slaughterhouse Part 2: The Road Not Taken
